Just in time for Mother's Day, La-La Land Records and Paramount Pictures present the world premiere release of legendary composer Henry Mancini's (THE PINK PANTHER, A SHOT IN THE DARK, THE GREAT RACE, LIFEFORCE) original score to the 1981 melodramatic cult phenomenon MOMMIE DEAREST, starring Faye Dunaway, Diana Scarwid and Steve Forrest, and directed by Frank Perry. Mancini wows with his trademark sweeping themes and lush melodies, lending genuine emotion to this larger-than-life Joan Crawford bio-pic. Produced by Dan Goldwasser and mastered by Mike Matessino, this special release, limited to 2000 units, contains the score as heard in the film, source cues, alternates and cues cut from the final film. Liner notes by film music writer Jeff Bond take you behind-the-scenes of this cult classic and its music. "Mommie" the film may be "so bad, it's good," but Mancini's score is undeniably great!
